Auralux
Custom drapery and Roman shades. Four drapery heading styles, two Roman headrail styles and three fold styles, with nearly 300 fabrics running from sheers to heavyweight knits.
Drapery
Four heading styles.
The heading sets the character of a drapery panel more than anything else, and every fabric in the book can be made up in any of them.
Ripple fold
A continuous S-curve wave from one end to the other, hung on a track. The contemporary choice, and the tidiest stack when drawn back.
Grommet
Metal rings punched through the heading, riding directly on the rod. Casual, and the simplest to draw by hand.
Back tab
Tabs sewn behind the panel so the heading sits flat against the wall with the hardware hidden. A quiet, tailored finish.
Drapery can be made in any Auralux fabric, lined or unlined, and paired with a matching Roman shade in the same cloth.
Roman shades
Two ways to finish the headrail.
Roman shades are made in the same fabrics as the drapery, so a room can carry one cloth across both.
Standard Roman
The fabric attaches to the back of the headrail, with a valance across the front to conceal the components. A 7" valance is standard and 6" the minimum; 8", 9" and 10" are available as a special request. Cord loop controls sit in front of the shade.
Waterfall Roman
The fabric attaches to the front of the headrail with no valance, so the material falls in one unbroken line. A back valance in the liner fabric hides the components from outside, included at no charge on inside-mount waterfall shades. Cord controls sit behind the shade.
Fold styles
Three folds, three different looks.
Flat
The most popular style. Hangs flat when closed and stacks in uniform folds when raised. Classic and contemporary rooms.
Classic
A flat Roman with evenly spaced bars sewn into the folds, adding dimension across the face. Good on solid fabrics, and it reduces pinholes of light on a blackout Roman. Tailored and contemporary.
Hobbled
Billowing pleats held even when the shade is down. Adds softness to a window that cannot take drapery. Traditional and luxe. Not available in every fabric.
Control options
Four core operating systems, with options for each.
Cordless
No cords on the shade at all. The shade is drawn down by the hem bar. The simplest answer where child safety matters.
Continuous cord loop
A beaded chain drive with a mounted tension device. On heavier and larger shades a spring assist mechanism is added to keep the operation smooth. Available in white, beige, gray, black, brown and steel.
Wand
Motorized operation from a wand at the side of the shade, with speed regulation and a preferred stop position. Rechargeable, and color coordinated to your shade.
Motorized
Wireless rechargeable, ultra quiet, A/C and low voltage DC motors for any situation. Operated by remote, wall switch, smart hub through a phone app, or smart home touch pads.

Apollo
Endurance
Our gold-standard wireless motor. A melting pot of top-brand motor components for smooth operation, extended battery life and durability.
Stealth
A true Frankenstein of the top-tier motor world. Extended tube length, soft rubber drive and a smooth high quality crown offer utter silence, for clients who want to hear a pin drop.
Pulse
A/C line voltage for plug and play, and D/C low voltage for high end pre-wire specs. Mobile battery adapters are available with our quick connect system at the window, so the shades still operate if the house loses power.
Solar panel
Keeps a motorized shade charged without running power to the window. Pairs with the rechargeable motors, and suits high or hard to reach windows.
Smart control
Works with the systems clients already have.
Add a hub and the shades join the house network, with app control and scheduling. Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, IFTTT, Control4 and RTI.
Every motorized collection uses compatible motor systems, so a whole house runs from one remote or hub type for whatever range of products you specify.
Top down bottom up
Light from the top, privacy at the bottom.
A top down bottom up shade moves from both ends. Drop it from the top and daylight comes in over the top of the shade while the lower half of the window stays covered, so a room at street level keeps its privacy without going dark.
Raise it from the bottom in the usual way and the window clears completely. Best paired with a valance, which hides the extra hardware at the head and finishes the top edge.
Available on Auralux, Solis and NovaCell. On Solis it cannot be combined with a movable liner, which needs the same headrail space.
Fabrics and liners
One book, drapery or shade.
The Auralux book runs from sheers through linen blends to heavyweight textured knits, with 21 pattern lines including Refine Linen Blend, Harmony, Paisley, Iris, Rose, Higan Bana, Dream Garden and Bouquet. Each line comes in its own colorway range and lists its repeat, so a wide window or a run of panels can be planned before you order.
Unlined
The fabric on its own, where a client wants light through the cloth. The usual choice for a sheer panel.
Light filtering liner plus
Softens and diffuses the light while keeping the fabric's character on the face.
Blackout liner
Turns any face fabric into a room-darkening shade.
How they are made
Things worth knowing before you quote.
- 01
Vertical seaming over 50"
Several fabrics are woven in narrow widths, so a shade wider than 50" is seamed. Seams are positioned as two narrower outer panels either side of a wider center panel, and patterns are matched across the seam.

Pattern repeats
Every pattern in the book lists its horizontal and vertical repeat. On a wide window or a run of shades, the repeat decides how much fabric the job takes.
- 03
Multiple shades on one headrail
Two or more shades can run on a single head rail, for a wide opening that should read as one treatment.
