Fabric types
Four fabric families, one program.
Every Skyfall fabric falls into one of these. The opacity rating for each is in the fabric library.
Light filtering
Light comes through diffused, with privacy depending on the opacity rating. Color and texture shift with the light behind them, so always check a sample against the window.
Blackout
No light passes through, producing a room darkening result. In addition, our blackout fabrics are lined with a thermal coating on the window-facing side, keeping summer heat out and adding insulation through the winter.
Sunscreen
Openness from 1% to 10%, blocking 85% to 99% of light transmission while keeping the view. Carries NFPA 701 flame retardant performance as standard.
Control options
Four core operating systems, with options for each.
Cordless
No cords on the shade at all. The shade is drawn down by the hem bar. The simplest answer where child safety matters.
Continuous cord loop
A beaded chain drive with a mounted tension device. On heavier and larger shades a spring assist mechanism is added to keep the operation smooth. Available in white, beige, gray, black, brown and steel.
Wand
Motorized operation from a wand at the side of the shade, with speed regulation and a preferred stop position. Rechargeable, and color coordinated to your shade.
Motorized
Wireless rechargeable, ultra quiet, A/C and low voltage DC motors for any situation. Operated by remote, wall switch, smart hub through a phone app, or smart home touch pads.

Apollo
Endurance
Our gold-standard wireless motor. A melting pot of top-brand motor components for smooth operation, extended battery life and durability.
Stealth
A true Frankenstein of the top-tier motor world. Extended tube length, soft rubber drive and a smooth high quality crown offer utter silence, for clients who want to hear a pin drop.
Pulse
A/C line voltage for plug and play, and D/C low voltage for high end pre-wire specs. Mobile battery adapters are available with our quick connect system at the window, so the shades still operate if the house loses power.
Solar panel
Keeps a motorized shade charged without running power to the window. Pairs with the rechargeable motors, and suits high or hard to reach windows.
Smart control
Works with the systems clients already have.
Add a hub and the shades join the house network, with app control and scheduling. Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, IFTTT, Control4 and RTI.
Every motorized collection uses compatible motor systems, so a whole house runs from one remote or hub type for whatever range of products you specify.
Top treatments
How the roll is finished.
Open roll
Fabric roll and brackets exposed, for the most economical finish. Color coordinated end caps are supplied for the brackets.
Arc cassette
A fully encased headbox with a curved front profile. Color coordinated, powder coat finish or fabric wrapped. Available in small (3") and large (4").
Square cassette
A fully encased headbox with a flat L-shaped front profile. Color coordinated, powder coat finish or fabric wrapped. Available in small (3") and large (4").
Metal fascia
Aluminum powder coated L-shape modern fascia, available in select standard colors. Open top, and it snaps onto the brackets at each end of the shade.
Fabric-wrapped cornice
A flat board cornice wrapped in the shade's fabric, available in 6" and 8" heights. The best top treatment for dual roller shades.
Raceway
Cordless open roll only. A flat powder coated track that mounts to the wall or ceiling on hidden brackets, in select standard colors.
Configurations
How the shade sits in the opening.
Roll direction.
Which way the fabric comes off the tube decides how close it sits to the glass, and whether it clears anything in the way.
Standard roll
All top treatments
Fabric rolls down the back of the shade, closest to the window. Maximum coverage, and the least light around the edges.
Reverse roll
Two top treatments
Fabric rolls off the front of the shade toward the room, a waterfall. The way to clear a handle, a crank or a deep sill.
More than one shade in an opening.
Dual shades
Fabric-wrapped cornice
Two shades in one opening, tightly aligned. Usually a light filtering and a blackout so the client can switch at will. Each operates independently.
2-on-1
All top treatments
Two fabrics side by side on a single tube, sharing the top treatment and the operating system. For openings wider than the fabric, or where two shades should read as one.
Panel track
Fabric-wrapped cornice
A decorative track carrying several fabric panels that slide side to side and overlap for full coverage. For sliding doors and openings a single shade cannot span.

What the fabrics are certified to.
Worth knowing when you are quoting commercial, healthcare or hospitality work, where certification is a specification requirement rather than a selling point.
- OEKO-TEX 100
- Tested for harmful substances and toxic chemicals. Applies to all fabrics.
- GREENGUARD
- Low chemical emissions, compliant with key emission standards. Applies to all fabrics.
- NFPA 701
- Flammability tested under specified fire test conditions. Applies to all sunscreen fabrics, and to the fire retardant fabrics available in both light filtering and blackout for commercial and hospitality work.
