Zebra Shades
Meridian
Two layers of alternating sheer and solid bands on one roll. Stagger the bands and the shade closes; line them up and light comes through in strips. Over 180 patterns, in light filtering or blackout.
How a zebra shade works
One shade, two positions.
Zebra fabric is woven as a single piece that doubles back on itself, so the sheer band on the front layer sits either over the sheer band behind it or over the solid one. That is the whole mechanism, and it is why one shade covers two jobs.
Bands staggered
The sheer sits over the solid. The shade closes to its full shading level, either light filtering or blackout depending on the fabric.
Fabric options
Light filtering or blackout.
Both use the same interlaced sheer and solid construction. The difference is what the solid band does when the shade is closed.
Light filtering
The solid band shades rather than blocks, so the room stays soft rather than dark. Shading levels are graded, and the level for each pattern is in the materials table.
Blackout
The solid band blocks light, so the closed shade protects privacy and keeps UV off furnishings while the open position still gives the view and the strips of light.
Control options
Four core operating systems, with options for each.
Cordless
No cords on the shade at all. The shade is drawn down by the hem bar. The simplest answer where child safety matters.
Continuous cord loop
A beaded chain drive with a mounted tension device. On heavier and larger shades a spring assist mechanism is added to keep the operation smooth. Available in white, beige, gray, black, brown and steel.
Wand
Motorized operation from a wand at the side of the shade, with speed regulation and a preferred stop position. Rechargeable, and color coordinated to your shade.
Motorized
Wireless rechargeable, ultra quiet, A/C and low voltage DC motors for any situation. Operated by remote, wall switch, smart hub through a phone app, or smart home touch pads.

Apollo
Endurance
Our gold-standard wireless motor. A melting pot of top-brand motor components for smooth operation, extended battery life and durability.
Stealth
A true Frankenstein of the top-tier motor world. Extended tube length, soft rubber drive and a smooth high quality crown offer utter silence, for clients who want to hear a pin drop.
Pulse
A/C line voltage for plug and play, and D/C low voltage for high end pre-wire specs. Mobile battery adapters are available with our quick connect system at the window, so the shades still operate if the house loses power.
Solar panel
Keeps a motorized shade charged without running power to the window. Pairs with the rechargeable motors, and suits high or hard to reach windows.
Smart control
Works with the systems clients already have.
Add a hub and the shades join the house network, with app control and scheduling. Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, IFTTT, Control4 and RTI.
Every motorized collection uses compatible motor systems, so a whole house runs from one remote or hub type for whatever range of products you specify.
Top treatments
Arc or square cassette.
Arc cassette
A curved headbox in 3" or 4". Six standard colors, or a fabric insert in any fabric in the range. The 4" cassette is needed once width or height passes 78".
Square cassette
A square-cornered headbox for a more architectural line, with the same fabric insert option.
Multiple shades in one cassette
Two or more shades running in a single headbox across a wide opening, on cord loop or motorized.
Bottom rails are fabric wrapped as standard. L channels are available where a blackout shade needs the light closed off at the sides.
Worth knowing
Three things to check before you quote.

Cassette depth
An inside or back mount needs an opening depth of more than 3 1/4" for the small cassette and more than 4" for the big one. The depth listed is what the cassette needs in order to sit flush with the wall.

Standard roll only
Zebra shades roll one way. The fabric comes off the back of the roll, which sits it closer to the window for better privacy and light blockage.
- 03
Where the size breaks
The 4" arc cassette caps at 78" in width and length, and anything wider or taller than 78" needs the big cassette. Check the specification table for the limits on each control type.
